The GRAND-MAMAN knitting bag is the ideal partner for all knitters.

Its size (35cm x 35cm x 20cm / 14’’x14’’x8’’) will allow you to store your yarn and accessories, or carry along your project everywhere you go.

With its 7 needle pockets, 1 outer zip pocket, 4 outer patch pockets, 1 inner zip pocket and 1 inner patch pocket, you’ll have all the space you need to organize your equipment and patterns. The cover flaps and their eyelets (replaceable with simple buttonholes) will allow you to work with multiple yarns, without pulling out the balls or opening the bag.

To be sewn in any non-stretch fabric, the version displayed here is made of two assorted cotton fabrics, but possibilities are never ending, unleash your imagination!

The tutorial is detailed step by step, full of useful tips and illustrated with over 100 pictures and diagrams, making it accessible even for beginners. It comes with a color PDF pattern, printable in A0, A4 and US LETTER formats.

You will need : main fabric, secondary fabric, lining fabric, fusible interfacing, zippers, eyelets, straps, bias tape, corded piping. Yardage (in centimeters) given in photo gallery (yardage in inches provided in tutorial).

The eyelets can be replaced by simple buttonholes. The straps, bias tape and corded piping can be store baught or hand made (instructions provided in tutorial).

Here are a few techniques displayed in this tutorial: mounting a zipper, building and mounting a double fold bias tape, building and mounting a corded piping.

The shapes of all pieces are relatively simple, so the tutorial also provides exact dimensions of each piece, for those who prefer drawing the pieces directly on the fabric, instead of printing, cutting and taping 20 pages together.

Seam allowances included.

Pattern strictly intended for personal use.
