Hi there and welcome to Atelier Adriette!
I’m Adria. I’ve been living in the gorgeous Pacific North West, since 2018, with my French hubby and our two kids. My days are filled with my children, which I care for 24/7, sewing, making patterns and discovering the beautiful nature surronding me.
I started sewing in 2016, when my oldest was born, because he absolutely needed a light, carry-on, foldable bassinet. This baby basket was my very first make, if we forget about the small lavender bags sewn with my grand mother 20 years earlier… Anyone who takes a close look at it will notice its many imperfections, but Oh how it made me proud to create it from only an idea and a piece of fabric (OK, I also used a long zipper and a little padding), and that was it! I was hooked!
I am a self-taught sewist and pattern designer, using the countless content on the internet, a few useful books and digging in deeper with each project.
At the end of 2019, I launched my sewing pattern collection with the TITUS hoodie, and I’ve expanded it slowly, working on new patterns anytime my kiddos give me a break. With these basic and modern designs, my goal is to offer you professional quality patterns, with pieces that come together perfectly every time, and instructions that get so personal that anyone can make them, even hard-core beginners.
In this humble blog, I will endeavor to present my new designs as they are released, I will also show you possible hacks for my patterns, linger on a precise technique or simply share a good bargain or fun trick!
Also being an occasional knitter, I will allow myself to tell you about that once in a while ? and if I feel like it, I may even make digressions about the natural and wild secrets of the Pacific North West!
